Construction Update (7/1/2015)

The first full closure on I-5 will occur Thursday, July 9 between Marquam Bridge and I-84. See below for more details.

The following activity will be occurring on I-5 this week (June 29-July 4) and next week (July 6 – 11). Expect single and double lane, shoulder, and ramp closures on I-5 Monday night through Saturday morning for site preparation, sign replacement, new sign installation, and paving preparation. ODOT is partnering with law enforcement for extra presence in the highway construction zone. Work will be between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., unless noted otherwise.

There will be no traffic impacts Thursday, July 2 – Sunday, July 5 during the Independence Day holiday weekend.

1. FULL CLOSURE of I-5 NB and SB between Marquam Bridge and I-84

  • Closure on Thursday, July 9 (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
  • I-5 travelers will be detoured via I-405
  • Eastbound I-84 travelers will take I-5 SB to I-84 eastbound

2. I-405 NB on Fremont Bridge

  • Shoulder, ramp and double lane closures
  • Work will occur between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

3. I-5 NB On-Ramps and Shoulders at SW Capitol Hwy, Spring Garden & Terwilliger Blvd

  • Periodic closures of ramps between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

4. I-5 NB and SB between N Lombard and the Fremont Bridge

  • Shoulder, ramp and double lane closures

Entire Project Area
