Construction Update (7/17/2015)

Expect single and double lane, shoulder and ramp closures for site preparation, sign replacement, new sign installation, and paving preparation. ODOT is partnering with law enforcement for extra presence in the highway construction zone.

1. FULL CLOSURE of I-5 in both directions between Marquam Bridge and I-84

  • Closure on Friday, July 24 (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
  • I-5 travelers will be detoured via I-405
  • Eastbound I-84 travelers will take I-5 SB to I-84 eastbound
  • On-ramp closures to I-5 will begin at 9 p.m. and the mainline will be closed at 10 p.m., reopening on Saturday, July 25 at 7 a.m.

2. I-405 NB on Fremont Bridge

  • Shoulder, ramp and double lane closures
  • Work will occur between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

3. I-5 NB and SB between N Lombard and SW Corbett

  • Shoulder, ramp and double lane closures

4. NB on-ramps at SW Capitol Hwy, Spring Garden and Terwilliger

  • Periodic ramp closures and should work at these locations
  • Closures to occur between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

5. I-5 NB between SW Capitol Hwy and Iowa St

  • Double lane and ramp closures

  • Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24

  • Work will occur between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. (8 a.m. on Saturday morning).

  • Expect on- and off-ramp closures throughout the project

6. NB and SB ramp closures on the Marquam Bridge, connecting to I-5 and I-405

  • Monday, July 20 to Thursday, July 23

  • Work will occur between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Entire Project Area
